Silicone Molds,
For some time now I have started experimenting with silicone forms. Before, I did not know that you can make castings in such forms. Because I really like making unique things with jewelry, I wanted to try these techniques and learn more not only about cabochons, but to go to the next level and start pouring epoxy resin into various interesting products. I really like nature and not only spend my time actively, but most of all I love flowers. I must admit that such a combination of the possibility of designing my own jewelry and the ability to capture the beauty of flowers in the resin was a mega inspiring mixture for me. I decided to take a risk and pour over my favorite flowers that I had previously dried. The effect exceeded my expectations, the flower took on beautiful colors in epoxy resin. Even though it was dried it looked real. I was also surprised how light can affect a product flooded with resin. It looks like it would be in real 3D completely different than being placed between the pages of a book. However, the entire technique is not super trivial. You have to spend some time pouring resin, learn to polish the molds, get rid of air, and choose items that will not change their shape or color in reaction with epoxy resin. The materials are important, but also the epoxy resin itself. There are many different manufacturers, in our store we have top-shelf resins, I use them myself. I have tested other manufacturers personally and I work best with those we have in stock. I do not want to say that there is no other good but that I have not been disappointed yet.
